“There are different kinds of lies”, the Master said. “Some lies kill slowly. Some can save lives. Other lies are fast and merciless.”
The pupil raised his eyes and looked at the Master.
“The lie, which is fast and merciless, is the lie you whisper into your own ear. Who shall unmask the liar? How will you punish him? How long will you hate him? Will you ever trust him again?”
